About Our Meals
Each meal consists of 1 hot tray and 1 cold tray. The hot tray contains a protein, starch, and a vegetable. The cold tray typically contains a type of salad, dessert, and a carb.
The Poudre Valley Hospital kitchen cannot accommodate allergy requests.
Our meals are prepared fresh at Poudre Valley Hospital by their kitchen staff.
Meals are delivered by caring and dedicated volunteers.
Meals are delivered Monday-Friday between 11:15am and 12:45pm. We require a minimum of 1 month of service, and a minimum of 2 days of service per week.
On a rare occasion, we must cancel meal delivery to ensure the safety of our volunteers due to dangerous road conditions or temperatures below 15 degrees. In the event of inclement weather conditions causing us to cancel delivery, we will make every effort to contact each client and volunteer -- typically through an automated phone call. Additionally, we are closed and will not be delivering meals on major holiday which includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
